Smithville’s Veterans Park Adds American Revolution Memorial
SMITHVILLE— On Memorial Day (May 25th) Smithville’s Veterans Memorial Park added a new monument, which commemorates those who served in the American Revolution. The grey granite memorial was commissioned and installed by the Lost Pines Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR).
Its inscription reads: “Dedicated in memory of our Patriot Ancestors who served during the American Revolution. Placed by the Lost Pines Chapter of NSDAR, Smithville, TX. May 25, 2020.”
