Public Hearings
The City of Smithville will have two Public Hearings on the 2016/2017 Ad Valorem Tax Rate. The first hearing being held on August 31st, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall,317 Main Street, Smithville, Texas, with a Budget Workshop to follow the Public Hearing. The 2nd Public Hearing on the 2016/2017 Ad Valorem Tax Rate and Budget Workshop will be on September 7, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall,317 Main Street, Smithville, Texas. All interested citizens and property owners are hereby notified of their right to appear and be heard (time limited) on these matters. Action will be taken on these matters at the September 12, 2016 Council Meeting in the Council Chambers of City Hall at 6:00 p.m.
