Olive Street Repaving / Road Closure Notice
The City plans to repave Olive Street from NE 1st to Loop 230 beginning November 8-9, 2017. This section of Olive Street will be closed to through traffic. NE 2nd to Gresham and NE 2nd from the alley (beside Honey’s) to Olive Street will also be closed (click on attached flyer). Parking in front of Honey’s, the Pines Hotel, General Store and the old Vasek building will be blocked. However, parking will still be available on either side of NE 2nd from Main Street to the alleys. Through traffic on NE 2nd from Main will exit the ONE WAY street via the alley(s). We will be milling the old asphalt and using a catalyst to set the new road. If all goes well, we will lay hot mix on Thursday after the new surface has had a chance to cure.
The City will be distributing flyers to each business owner and/or resident directly impacted today. Apologies for the short notice but the equipment became available and the weather looks good next week.
