NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING DECEMBER 14, 2020 @ 6:00PM

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN TO ALL INTERESTED PERSONS, THAT:

            The City of Smithville, Texas proposes to institute annexation proceedings to enlarge and extend the boundary limits of said city to include the following described territory, to-wit:

20.767 acres situated in the Thomas DeCrow Survey, A-27, and 2,093 square feet within a proposed ingress/egress easement tract situated in the Thomas Decrow Survey, A-27, Tract 4B, Acres 0.163 and 1.465 acres situated in the Thomas DeCrow Survey, A-27, in Bastrop County, Texas.

            A public hearing will be held by and before the City Council of the City of Smithville, Texas on December 14, 2020, at 6:00 PM on a zoom videoconference call, for all persons interested in the above-proposed annexation.  At said time and on a said videoconference call all such persons shall have the right to appear and be heard.  Of all said matters and things, all persons interested in the things and matters herein mentioned will take notice. This meeting will be closed to in-person attendance by the public. A temporary suspension of the Open Meetings Act to allow telephone or videoconference public meetings has been granted by Governor Greg Abbott. These actions are being taken to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 by avoiding meetings that bring people into a group setting and in accordance with Section 418.016 of the Texas Government Code.
