NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
CITY OF SMITHVILLE BUDGET
The City of Smithville will hold a public hearing on its proposed budget for the 2020/2021 fiscal year.
The Public hearing will be held on September 9, 2020, at 5:00 P.M. in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 317 Main Street, Smithville, Texas.
“This budget will raise more total property taxes than last year’s budget by $127,296.00 or 8.47%, and of that amount, $16,452.00 is tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year.”
If approved by the City Council following the public hearing, this proposed budget will take effect on October 1, 2020.
