Hwy 95 Engineering Study to Begin
TXDOT approved $3.4M to fund the SH95 Expansion as part of CAMPO’s Surface Transportation Program Metropolitan Mobility (STP-MM) project back in December. Construction is still 2-3 years out. In the interim, the SH95 Engineering Study is underway. Beginning February 4, 2015, residents and business owners along HWY 95 will notice TXDOT survey crews taking measurements along the Right-of-Way (ROW). Every effort will be made to minimize disruption of traffic and/or inconvenience to property owners. The study should be complete in the next 3-9 months. Attached is a single page summary and plan view (section) showing the existing roadway and proposed construction. The ROW varies from 70-100’ but new design is expected to include a 12’ two-way turn lane and two 6’ pedestrian sidewalks with curbs and gutters.
