Solid Waste Laborer
Uses city or rented equipment to pick up leaves, limbs and other vegetation that has been cut by citizens or city work crews. Operate vacuum leaf machine, wood chipper, and other small mechanical or hand tools either at curbside or at a storage location. Perform daily maintenance on all equipment. Also performs related work as required. High School Diploma or GED, Texas Drivers License. Parks Laborer
Operate mowers, tractors, trencher, vehicles, and equipment; utilize a variety of hand and power tools in park landscape maintenance work. Perform semi-skilled tasks involving the maintenance, construction, and repair of park and recreational facilities. Apply herbicides, fungicides, and pesticides safely; maintain records of fertilizers and chemicals used. Perform difficult manual labor including lifting heavy weights, stooping, bending, and twisting. May assist in other sections of the department as necessary. Perform related duties as assigned. Electrical Apprentice
Performs routine repairs and maintenance in assigned craft; assist, as directed, in more complex maintenance and repair of transmission, power generation, and facilities equipment, using power and hand tools as necessary. Participates in training sessions to gain greater knowledge of craft or trade by learning the procedures, tools, use, and equipment operations. Maintains tools.
