Electric Laborer/Helper: Assist Journey-level craft personnel in performance of routine repairs and maintenance of powerlines, and associated work. Performs routine repairs and maintenance and assist in more complex maintenance and repair of the utility system. Applicants must have a High School Diploma/GED and a valid Driver’s License and a Class B Commercial License or able to obtain one within 6 months of hire. Candidates should be aware that this position requires successful applicants to work overtime, which include extended days, call-out for emergency work, and at times weekend and holiday work. Water/Wastewater Position-The City of Smithville is accepting applications for a full-time position in the Water/Wastewater Department. Must have knowledge of general construction tools and equipment. Knowledge in the operation of water/wastewater helpful.  Applicants must have a valid Driver’s License and a Commercial Class B Driver’s License or able to obtain within first six months of hire.
