2013-14 Annual Audit Report Completed
Singleton, Clark & Company, PC completed the annual audit of the City of Smithville’s October 2013 to September 2014 budget. The results of the audit indicate that the City’s total net position decreased by $467,159. However, its assets exceeded liabilities by $9,127,816 and there were no material findings with respect to generally accepted accounting principles and protocols. While the City was hit with unexpected but necessary expenses during the year, the financial report showed the City overall was in good condition at the end of the fiscal year according to outside auditor Jack Clark.
