City of Smithville seeks Community Engagement Coordinator who will be responsible for facilitating and coordinating a robust community engagement strategy for the City of Smithville, with a particular focus on building relationships and trust with community members, volunteers, local community partners and service providers. The Coordinator will manage projects designed to increase community engagement, post/manage information on social media, cultivate relationships across diverse communities, facilitate community meetings, and otherwise work to ensure multi-directional communication between the City and the community of Smithville. Minimum qualifications include Bachelor’s degree plus two years’ experience in the field; knowledge of computer programs including social media; understanding of “Netweaving” concepts.
