CITY OFFICES CLOSED UNTIL 10:00 AM THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 2, 2023

The National Weather Service is predicting 100% chance of sleet and freezing rain this evening and tomorrow. Overpasses, bridges, and most roadways are expected to freeze and could be covered with ice until late Thursday morning. For everyone's SAFETY, driving around town should be limited to law enforcement and emergency response personnel only.  If you must travel, please do so carefully.  Smithville ISD has canceled classes Wednesday.  City Offices will remain CLOSED until Thursday at 10:00 am. Contact Dispatch at (512) 237-3228 to report power outages or other non-emergency issues.  For emergencies, DIAL 911.  In the meantime, stay home, stay warm, and STAY SAFE!!!
