Part-time DECA/Student Intern Position

Entry-level; flexible hours (up to 20/week)

Candidates must have:

  • Excellent customer service skills;
  • Positive and reliable work ethic;
  • Ability to work as part of a team; and
  • Working knowledge of office equipment, including computers.

Preferred skills include:

  • Prior exposure to library functions;
  • Accurate typing ability;
  • Strong sense of organization; and
  • Working familiarity with databases.

Police Officer:

Police Officer: The City of Smithville is currently seeking applications for Police Officer. Applicants must possess, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid State Drivers’ License without a record of suspension or revocation in any state; ability to meet the Department’s physical standards. Formal application, education, and experience; offer of employment; psychological examination; drug screening. Position works on assigned shifts using own judgment in deciding course of action; is expected to handle difficult and emergency situations while patrolling the city streets, parks, commercial and residential areas.
